I've noticed a post that has been re-peated in many of the groups around here...
The poster askes the question..."IS GLOBAL WARMING SCIENTIFIC."
And while being "SCIENTIFIC" may be debatable...I think we need to think beyond that.
I think that a more appropriate concern might be...Are environmental changes affecting our lives? The answer is yes.
We can see, without a scientific test being done, that our polar caps are melting...we can see that entire species of animals and even some typed of foods are becoming extinct..
I would venture a LOGICAL conclusion that these very basic evidences are enough to make me, an intelligent, caring human concerned...to say the least.
Ignorance leads us to living without learning. Learning requires that we pay attention, and paying attention would make us aware that the condition of our environment has more rapidly declined in the past 100 years than in all of EARTH'S history.
I know that when I am on a boat in the ocean...I shouldn't see trash floating around. I know that the decrease in plant life in the ocean as a result couldn't be a good thing. I know that the fact that we consume gross amounts of vain unnecessary products is bound to have an effect on our environment. I can look at the exhaust coming from a car or a truck or a plane and know that it isn't good for my lungs or any other ventilation system...man-made or otherwise....and the list of simple observations that I can make goes on and on...
This is something that I am logically able to deduce by just using my head. I didn't have to get out a test tube, or a chart, or run an extensive test that would cost tax payers an excessive amount of money...that just comes from me being aware.
AND...that is enough for me to know that things need to change...
