I've noticed when I've created events or groups and then tried to invite friends, the interface is the same one for inviting people to this community. That is, it relies on knowing the person's email address which can prevent you from inviting your friends in this community. That's because one can send and receive friend invitations without ever seeing each other's email address.
So, when inviting people to groups and events, there needs to be an option to choose among your friends to include in the invitations.

Thanks for creating this group! I'm more than happy to join and I'd love to get more of your feedback. As you may have guessed, we're still working out the kinks of the tool and it's so helpful to have your ideas.
I'm going to look into the invitation function now. I'll get back to you in a day or so when I have a plan of how we will address it. Please keep the feedback coming.
