Question
By Will Greene, Jun 22, 2008 at 2:08:56 AM ET
I'm curious why this hasn't been a bigger deal in the mainstream, or even environmental, news world? A car that can run on salt water? That would solve our fuel shortage I think...

I full heartedly agree. I don't know why this isn't a bigger deal in the mainstream and environmental news world. A car that simply runs on fresh water, salt water, or even tea? I mean this technology needs more notice as it seems that it could be easily mass produced if given the chance by a government or the auto industry. We need to start embracing these ideas rather than saying "Oh that's a start, but it's too expensive," or "Isn't that nice, but that's not putting gas in my car." If given a chance ideas like this can become fully embraced and adopted by the public. That being said, that is one of the reasons that this whole campaign was started, so that ideas can develop and we can push the public and our elected officials into seriously considering taking action on projects like this.
