We have a solution…..
We need to create good jobs right here in Los Angeles. LADWP will be investing a ton of money in renewables. We need to ensure that local residents are on those jobs and that the installations are close to the demand for power. The majority of proposals for solar power are on private residences and solar farms in the desert. We need to make green jobs right here in our backyard. Lets put local people to work in apprenticeships that pay well and create middle class jobs.
We cannot afford to wait any longer to develop cleaner, renewable energy sources. Our group is supporting "The Green Energy and Good Jobs for Los Angeles Act". This initiative will take an important step forward toward ensuring that future generations will not have to depend on expensive and highly polluting forms of energy.
There is only 12.3 megawatts of Solar installed in the LA DWP right now. Our initiative would install 400 megawatts of solar over the next 5-6 years. This would create good paying jobs and start DWP toward the future.
We need to have as much power as possible generated by renewable sources as it is the only way we will have energy independence. Join us in passing this historic initiative.
We will be on the ballot in Los Angeles this March Help us get this initiative approved. Thanks For more info call Kevin @ 626 243 9726
