One scientist has made the case for adjusting to climate change.
He doesn't think we can turn it around, and anyway, why try?

Make a decision - hopeless or hopeful
By iCare, Jun 7, 2008 at 7:36:55 PM ET
Angela - why are you registered on this website then? Is one scientist's article going to persuade you to think it's hopeless? If you think it's hopeless, then don't have kids. Just live it up and believe it's the end of the world. So...really...which is it? Believe it's hopeless? Or believe that there is a chance? If there is a chance, then do the right thing. Make your life a positive force; not a doggy-downer.

Note: if you visit my website, you'll see that I'm concerned about climate change, am convinced scientific data supports it, and that, in fact, the ocean is affected by it to a devestating extent.

But I think it's important to know how reputable scientists might interpret data differently, hence the post.

We MUST change it
By Unknown user, Jul 22, 2008 at 6:15:31 PM ET
We are currently in a zero sum game. Failure to correct what is wrong with the environment does not mean we must pay a fine, or be inconvenienced. It means the literal end of everything we hold dear. We live on THIS Earth and there is no other for us.

Fossil fuels are adding to CO2 levels. Deny it all you want. An old saying is "You can break the glass, (barometer) but you can't change the weather."

We can choose zero emission technologies, we can choose to act responsibly. That makes it all our decision. We can DECIDE to live or we can decide to die.

Our choice.
